There is nothing better than crushing a nice drive on a beautiful sunny day out on the golf course.  I know that sentence makes me sound like a meat head, but if you are a golfer, you know what I mean, right? I have been playing golf since I was a little kid, my parents live right across the street from Plandome Country Club, I practically grew up running between the club and my parents house every summer.  I was definitely a pool rat, spent all day in the pool, on the tennis courts or the golf course.  The lessons that I took when I was a kid have definitely paid off, now that I am older and enjoy playing it was that much easier to get back into.  My fiance is OBSESSED with golf so it makes me happy that I can and enjoy playing, we drive out together and spend great quality time together on the course.  Over the years I have also learned that a golf outfit isn't only about frumpy Bermuda shorts, you can definitely style your course gear to look cute! I love accessorizing my go to J Crew chinos with a trendy bright belt, as seen above! And my sleeveless Tory Burch Lidia Polo's are great for the course, they are not only cute but lightweight! My dad recently bought me the Ping Faith Driver, there is nothing better than hitting this off the tee!

I have THE best MOM in the world!  Growing up I always knew how lucky I was to have landed her but looking back I now realize how truly blessed I am.  Having Joaner as my mom means having a mother who always has my back.  She continually supports me in everything I do and helps me along the way.  My mom always knows the right thing to say.  The sheer sound of her voice offers comfort that I cannot and will not find anywhere else! My Mom Is beautiful, she is chic, she is calm, she is smart, she is caring, she is compassionate, she is an amazing mom and grandmother and I hope that some day my children look at me the way I look at her.  Mom, I love you...you are simply the best!

I have the best friends in the entire world.  I am getting married in September and am having 14 Bridesmaids! I know that is a lot.  I have 3 Maids of Honor, my 2 younger sisters (Meredith & Kim) and my sister-in-law, Miranda.  I am also including my soon to be sister's in law, Bridget & Kristy (who ROCK!) So that is 5 sisters and 9 friends! Pictured above I am with two of my best friends from college.  This pic is from about 10 years ago.  I love it.  It pretty much sums up our college friendship which was full of fun and laughter! Cheers to my friends, you guys are the best!

Gratitude

Gratitude.  In the practice of yoga my teachers have taught me that gratitude allows oneself to disconnect from negative and positive thoughts.  Gratitude allows the self to simply be and inspires you to go through life with an open heart.  I am so grateful for the life I have - past, present and future.  Namaste.

Longing for Summer

Today I am dreaming about being on a hot sunny beach.  It is early may and we still have yet to see the sun on a consistent basis in New York City.  I can't help but long for the summer weekends where I can sit on a beach and drink a nice cold Corona Light!  Here I am last summer on the Amagansett Beach where my Fiance and I spent a week long vacation and most of our weekends.  Oh and it is where he popped THE question to me so will forever hold a special place in both of our hearts!!

Only a few more weeks until Memorial Day and hopefully the sunny weather.
